Recruitment Pipeline

New applicants begin with SF A&S (Special Forces Assessment & Selection). This phase evaluates skill, teamwork, and mindset before assignment to an operational team.

Our A&S isn’t a “ArmA boot camp.” It’s a baseline evaluation to confirm you understand the mods, systems, and procedures we use before entering team-level operations. Most applicants have played modded Arma for years — we respect that. A&S isn’t about teaching you how to play; it’s about verifying compatibility, communication, and mindset under our standard of realism. Depending on your SF A&S performance, SFQC could be shortened. It’s also an attitude check — we look for players who can operate professionally, follow the chain of command, and adapt to how TF Legion functions.

Passing A&S earns you the rank of PV2 and placement into an ODA. Your instructors during A&S will also be your team ICs — the same people assessing you in live operations. After A&S, you’ll begin the Special Forces Qualification Course (SFQC).

Special Forces Qualification Course

SFQC focuses on collective and specialized training such as HALO/HAHO insertion, combat diving, dynamic movements, undercover/clandestine ops etc. It concludes with the CULEX (Culmination Exercise, our arma-version of the IRL “Robin Sage”), testing most of the learned skills in a operation-like environment, next to your new team-mates. Completing SFQC + CULEX earns you the rank of SPC (Specialist) and qualification for full operational deployment within the unit.

Operational Integration & MOS Phase

After SFQC, you’ll conduct two full-fledged live operations with your assigned team under evaluation by your IC. During this phase, you may request MOS-specific training based on your placement or preferred role. Upon successful completion of this operational assessment phase, you’ll earn the virtual TFL "Green Beret" — marking you as a fully qualified member of the unit and obtaining the rank of Corporal (CPL).
